7134 STUDENT ATTENDANCE AREAS

Attendance boundaries for every school in the District have been established.
The Enrollment Projection and Audit Report is to be reviewed annually by the Board prior to setting the budget, in order to establish the projected enrollments for the forthcoming school year. The Superintendent's recommendations for changes in the attendance areas status of schools designated "open" or "closed" to open enrollment shall be presented to the Board no later than February 1. The Superintendent of Schools will maintain long-range demographic information for this and other purposes.

At each school level (K-4, 5-8, 9-12), every effort will be made to enable a student to complete that level in the school in which he or she started.

Newly created housing subdivisions will be assigned to school attendance areas by the Administration when plans for the project are approved by the municipality in which they are located.

Appeals of administrative decisions and/or the assignment of a specific feeder pattern may be submitted to the Board of Education. The Board retains jurisdiction over any and all matters related to student attendance areas.
