COMMONS CAFE
Commons Cafe will be starting again this week. November's specials will be waffles with whipped cream and chocolate chips. Be sure to stop down for some great-tasting coffee and waffles!

RENEW YOU!
Mindful Mondays are every Monday in Room 119.   Take a break- learn to relax and unwind, and release unnecessary tensions. Guided mindful exercises will be at 7:30am, 11:50am and 2:50pm in Room 119.  Please join us!

ATTENTION SKIERS AND BOARDERS:
There are only a handful of seats of remaining on the bus.  Please return your forms this week and see Mr. Weber with any questions or to obtain information.

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
East's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will help provide a Thanksgiving meal to over 350 families in WNY.  The food drive is a competition between the grade levels and bins are located in the Main Office and Business Office.  The grade that collects most food items will win $200 from Student Council.  The food drive ends Friday, November 17 - help local families enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner this year!  Food items we are looking for:  canned vegetables and fruits, boxed potatoes, stuffing mix, brownie mix, cranberry sauce, and gravy.  
Student Council is creating an East Wall of Thanks - we are selling paper feathers and turkeys for $1 for people to write a message of thanks that will be placed on the East Wall of Thanks displaying on Student Street.  We are raising money to purchase 100 frozen turkeys to give to local families this Thanksgiving.

COFFEE HOUSE
The first Coffee House of the year is November 17 from 7-9pm in the Commons.  See Mr. Huber or Mrs. Lanzone in you are interested in performing at the Coffee House.  All students are welcome to attend.  Sandwiches, mac and cheese, desserts and beverages will be served.

Lockers have been assigned!!  Your locker number and combination can be viewed on your WITS profile page.  You will need to secure your locker on Tuesday...this is your responsibility and we encourage you to use it!  Avoid carrying your backpack and USE your locker.

PTSA MEETING
The next PTSA meeting is Monday, January 8, 7:00pm.  All are welcome. 

STUDENT CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

  • GSA will be meeting on Friday, November 17 in room 214.
  • Art Club will be meeting on Tuesday, November 21 at 3:00.
  • Hands Around the World will be meeting on Wednesday, November 22 to discuss the upcoming events.  Everyone is welcome and there will be food. 
  • Interested in Journalism? The East Side Newspaper is the official newspaper of Williamsville East. Meetings are open to all students every Wednesday after school in computer lab 204, or see Mr. Huber or Mrs. Lanzone in the English department for more information.   • Attention all creative writers and artists! The East Literary Digest publishes student poetry, short stories, and art work. To submit your work, click on the logo below to join our Google Classroom. After clicking the + and "join class," enter the code 8m3p0c. Select the most recent issue number and then edit the shared document with your poem, a title for your poem, and your name. You may use a pseudonym or author the poem as Anonymous.
