Dr. Darren J. Brown-Hall was appointed Superintendent of the Williamsville Central School District effective July 1, 2021. He is an adjunct instructor in the Educational Leadership departments at Buffalo State University as well as the University at Buffalo. He is an active member of several professional organizations including the Committee for the Identification and Development of Educational Leaders (CIDEL) and serves on several Boards including the Western New York Education Service Council (WNYESC), Compass House, and Gay and Lesbian Youth Services.
Mr. Michael Kelly joined the Williamsville Central School District in May of 2024 after serving as Vice President of Finance and Administration at the State University of New York Fredonia. At SUNY Fredonia, Mr. Kelly led budget development and capital planning, and was also part of the University’s strategic initiatives. Prior to leading SUNY Fredonia, Mr. Kelly spent three years as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at New View Alliance, Inc., where he provided leadership and strategic direction for all financial, business and administrative operations of the newly formed non-profit parent company for Gateway Longview, Inc. and New Directions Youth and Family Services.
Dr. Marie Balen joined the Williamsville School District in July of 2011 in her current role as the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. Dr. Balen’s previous professional experience includes service in public and private educational institutions, in urban and suburban settings, with experience as a teacher, coordinator, and director. Dr. Balen holds a doctorate from the University of Virginia focused on leadership, supervision, and curriculum, and is Canisius College graduate and adjunct professor in the Canisius University Graduate School of Education and Human Services Education Leadership and Supervision Program.
Anthony Scanzuso joined the Williamsville Central School District in September 2009 as the Assistant Principal of Williamsville East High School. He was named Principal of East High School in March of 2015 and became a member of the District Office Leadership Team in September 2018, overseeing Exceptional Education and Student Services. He is a graduate of Canisius College and SUNY College at Buffalo.
Dana Floriano joined the Williamsville Central School District in January of 2022. With 12 years of experience in Human Resources in a public school setting, Mrs. Floriano is committed to ensuring our schools have talented, compassionate, and committed faculty and staff who are willing to go above and beyond to connect with our student community. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and Daemen College.
Moira “Molly” Cooper joined the District in March 2018. Prior to joining Williamsville, Ms. Cooper provided administrative support and labor relations services to numerous local school districts throughout the Western New York region. A graduate of the University at Buffalo Honors College and School of Law, she also serves as Town Justice for the Town of Evans.
Mr. Nicholas Filipowski joined the District in January 2020. He was named the New York School Public Relations Association Communicator of the Year in 2022. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Western New York School Public Relations Association.
