Dear Williamsville Central School District Families,
As Ramadan begins next week, we would like to share an important meal option available for students who observe this religious practice. We know fasting during the day is an important part of Ramadan, and students may not be able to participate in breakfast and/or lunch while at school.
When classes resume following the Mid-Winter Recess, from February 23rd – March 19th, each school will offer vegetarian meals that students may take home each day to consume after sunset. This opportunity is made possible through a waiver with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
If you would like your child(ren) to receive take-home meals during Ramadan, please complete the Ramadan - Meals Interest Form that is available on the District website.
