Workforce Diversity

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or DEI as it is commonly referred to, is much more than an acronym.  It is an important part of our fabric as the Williamsville Central School District.   The District’s DEI policy (#3431), which was adopted by the Williamsville Board of Education on October 12, 2021.  The District’s DEI 5-Year Strategic Plan, a document created with considerable input from our school and community stakeholders, was published in 2023.

It is our firm belief that not only should every student be able to come to school each day and participate fully - as their full self, but every faculty and staff member should be able to as well.  Additionally, we believe that not only should our students feel a sense of belonging, but every employee should feel that sense, too.

As our District appreciates diversity, the Human Resources Department is committed to reviewing and updating practices and procedures to align with the goals identified in the DEI Strategic Plan, Area #5: Workforce Diversity.
