Reading Recovery
Reading Recovery is a one-to-one, short-term early intervention program that helps the lowest achieving first grade children to develop effective strategies for reading and writing and to reach average levels of classroom performance. In 2007 the What Works Clearinghouse, a branch of the United States Department of Education, documented based on scientific research that Reading Recovery is a highly effective intervention.
