Letter to Families Regarding End of the Year Calendar Changes

May 03, 2021

Dear Williamsville Central School District Families,

As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to update you regarding the District calendar.

First, there will be no school on Friday, June 18, 2021 as the District observes the Juneteenth holiday.  With this change in the calendar, elementary school students will have a half day on Thursday, June 17, 2021.  Students at the elementary level will still have half days on Friday, June 11, 2021 and Thursday, June 24, 2021.

In addition, if the middle schools and high schools are still in the hybrid/hyflex model, the District will provide full days of instruction on the following days:

For the week of June 14, Group A students will attend classes on Monday, June 14, 2021 and Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Group B students will attend classes on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 and Thursday, June 17, 2021.

For the week of June 21, Group A students will attend classes on Monday, June 21, 2021 and Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Group B students will attend classes on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 and Thursday, June 24, 2021.

As a reminder, the last student day for instruction is Thursday, June 24, 2021.

You can view the updated calendar, which was approved at the April 13, 2021 Board of Education Meeting Here: Amended 2020-2021 Student Calendar.

If you have any questions regarding these changes in the calendar, please contact your building principal.

Sincerely,

Dr. John E. McKenna
Acting Superintendent of Schools
