Rizzo and Buffomante appointed as new assistant principals

During Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the appointments of two new assistant principals in the District.

Kristen Rizzo will join Williamsville North as their new assistant principal.

"I'm honored to be appointed assistant principal at Williamsville North High School," said Rizzo.  "I'll thank Dr. Brown-Hall, the assistant superintendents, and the Board for your approval tonight.  I also want to thank the students, parents, faculty and staff, and school leaders that were a part of the interview teams.  I'm looking forward to joining the North High School team and continuing the great work that is already going on there.

"As a community member and a parent, I feel very passionate about the school system and I'm looking forward to serving the community in this new role.  I'm excited to get started."

Heidie Buffomante, who served as an assistant principal at Dodge Elementary the past three years, will now serve in the same role at Heim Middle.

"First, a genuine thank you to our Board of Education, Dr. Brown-Hall, and District Leadership for this appointment.  I am endlessly grateful as a I stand here this evening for our students, our families, the teachers, and Charlie Smilinich at Dodge Elementary. The past three years have been full of experience that have been rich, focused on student learning and having a lot of fun.  I am grateful for that.

"I am also eager and excited to build new relationships with those at Heim, work alongside Dr. Jachlewski and really fulfill that passion I have for middle school.  Thank you all so much."
