State Health Dept. reports widespread flu activity in December

Parent Advisory:  The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) collects, compiles, and analyzes information on influenza activity in NYS and produces a weekly report during the Flu season, which typically runs from October through May.  During the week ending December 9, 2017, influenza activity level was categorized as geographically widespread.  This is the first week that widespread activity has been reported.  The NYSDOH Commissioner, Dr. Howard Zucker, has declared influenza to be prevalent in NYS for the 2017-2018 influenza season.
