Holocaust Survivor to speak at Casey Middle Feb. 5
Ms. Veffer was born in Amsterdam in 1929 and survived Germany's occupation of Holland. She immigrated to the United States in 1954.
A Living Holocaust Exhibit, created by eighth grade students, will be open for public viewing before and after Ms. Veffer's talk, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and from 6:30-7 p.m. The exhibit honors Elie Wiesel's work as founding chairman of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
