The Williamsville Education Foundation is an independent, volunteer led, 501c3 non-profit that serves the students of Williamsville Central School District. We fund worthwhile programs which may not be implemented due to budgetary constraints. We inspire the youth of today and tomorrow to achieve educational excellence.
The mission of the Williamsville Education Foundation, Inc. is to gather and administer private resources to enhance the educational activities of the Williamsville Central School District and help ensure that its students receive the highest quality education.
The Williamsville Education Foundation provides mini-grants to teachers, scholarships to students, and hosts the bi-annual Wall of Fame induction ceremony.
North Health Teacher Lisa Seifert used a mini-grant to purchase yoga mats for her health class. Mindfulness activities, such as yoga, help promote emotional regulation, enhance focus and attention, and foster physical health.
Inspired at a workshop at the Burchfield Penny Art Center, North Art Teach Kim Kirisits used a mini-grant to purchase plier staples for students to use to create elaborate cardboard sculptures from recycled materials.
North Social Studies Teacher Noelle Abdallah used a mini-grant to secure sketchnoting materials for students. Sketchnoting allows students to showcase learning and understanding in a variety of ways, helping improve their understanding and retention of material.
