Elementary & Middle School Program
The elementary and middle school summer school programs will be held at Transit Middle School, 8730 Transit Rd., East Amherst. Mrs. Heidie Buffomante is the summer school Principal, while Mr. Patrick Quast is the Assistant Principal for both programs. For more information please visit www.williamsvillek12.org.
K-8 Summer School Program Dates:
Week 1: July 13-15 (Wed - Fri)
Week 2-5: July 18 - August 12 (Mon-Fri)

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The Williamsville Central School District provides an in person remedial elementary summer school program based on teacher and principal referral only. The classes in summer school emphasize English Language Arts and Mathematics for students who are below grade level in either or both of these areas. Summer school is a six-week program and begins Wednesday, July 13 and ends on Tuesday, August 16. ELA is held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Math from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day. Depending on their academic needs, children might not stay for the full day.
Registration information will be shared in June to the parents of recommended students. Confirmation of registration for the program will be sent to parents by June 17 in WITS.
For identified incoming kindergarten students, a kindergarten preparation program is in place. Families of recommended students will receive communication on specific dates, locations, and times for the program.
MIDDLE SCHOOLS
The Williamsville Central School District provides a remedial middle summer school program for eligible students. In order to enroll in middle school courses, students must have failed the course(s) for which they wish to register and be recommended by the principal. All classes meet for 108 minutes. Classes begin Wednesday, July 13 and end on Tuesday, August 16. The class times follow the same schedule as the high school program: Period 1 - 7:30 a.m. to 9:18 a.m.; Period 2 - 9:23 a.m. to 11:11 a.m.; and Period 3 - 11:16 a.m. to 1:04 p.m.
Registration information will be sent to parents through WITS the last week in June.
The District also offers select special education, extended school year programming, and/or related services in accordance with the Committee on Special Education (CSE) recommendation.
